Stage 10: Tallard - Marseille

Hot and hotter, Cedric Vasseur Wins the Stage
I heard it was at least 42 degrees centigrade today. I think that's around 110 degrees fahrenheit. I was on the motorcycle today and it should have been cooler there, but it was still impossibly hot. I'm sure that affected the race. We went through Haute-Provence which is really dry and chalky. There are some hilltop villages scattered around. There was a breakaway group that lasted the whole day. There were some attacks from that group around 30k to the finish and the group split up. Cedric Vasseur of France won the stage, which was nice for him as this is his last year racing. He was on the US Postal team with Lance Armstrong for one season a few years ago. The rest of the peloton seemed to spend the rest of the day gabbing and not working too hard.
