Rest Day

Rasmussen Controversy Deepens
Today is supposed to be a rest day but the controversy surrounding Rasmussen continues. There was a press conference in which he was accompanied by team director Theo De Rooy and the team lawyer. Journalists asked him to explain the missed doping controls and the "forgotten" documents he was supposed to send to the UCI. He has two official infractions already, and two not serious ones and was removed by the Danish cycling federation from the Olympic team because of the suspicions. Rasmussen and company kept insisting one of the 4 was an administrative error but never explained what that meant. Rasmussen was asked if he understood that nearly every journalist in the room didn't believe him. And after the press conference it seemed like most minds were not changed.
