Back at Advance Base Camp After a Night at Camp III

Hey this is Dave, it's Advance Base Camp. We had an okay night at Camp III last night, by that I don't mean we got any sleep or anything, I don't normally do that on a first night at Camp III, but we had a very calm night, it was a beautiful evening last night and a beautiful morning today, nice and calm and quiet, no wind. We geared up this morning, and had Nicky test out the oxygen systems, went up a little bit on the Lhotse Face above Camp III, lots of Sherpas out there carrying loads today, and we didn't want to get in their way much  so we just went up a little bit. Came back down to Camp III, everything in working order, and then we dropped down from Camp III,  got here to advance base camp at mid morning, on a beautiful day. We spent pretty much the rest of the day resting.  It wouldn't have been so great for us to continue on to base camp, that would have meant going through the Icefall in the warmer, more dangerous part of the day, and  we figured we'd just take one more night up here, as planned. We're looking forward to base camp tomorrow morning and getting ready for our summit bid. For now everything is going really well, a number of our Sherpas made their final runs to Camp IV, the South Col, but now I think our team has all its gear in place up there. So that's great. Okay.
