Dispatch 35: Ang Jangbu Reports via Email

This is Ang Jangbu Sherpa writing on behalf of Dave Hahn and the 2006 IMG Everest Expedition. It was a big day for our team. Today--14 of our climbing Sherpas carried loads to the South Col on a day trip from camp 2 in nice weather. Paul, Fiona, Dennis and their personal Sherpas came down from camp 3 to camp 2 this morning after spending an acclimatization night up there last night. Dave went up from base camp to camp two on his third rotation. Dan decided to spend the night at camp one on his way to two. Rest of the team members are down at base camp resting. Most other teams are either at base camp or headed down the valley for few days of rest before the final push. Depending on the weather, we may have some Sherpas from different teams (including two of our Sherpas) fixing ropes above the South Col as early as the 12th or 13th. Will update you again tomorrow.
