A Look at the Wild Side

Ice climbers in the Canadian Rockies, the grizzly bears of Denali, the surreal landscapes of Patagonia, the ruins of an ancient civilization in Cambodia-these are all the subjects of renowned photographer James Martin, one of the most wide-ranging of working professionals in North America. Martin's work includes recent books such as Sierra, Notes and Images from the Range of Light; Rainier, Views and Adventures; and Extreme Alpinism, with Mark Twight; his images have appeared in Outside, Smithsonian and other international publications. Martin, who stocks with Getty Images, is currently at work on a new book, Digital Photography Outdoors.
