Hey, Dave Hahn calling GreatOutdoors. And again I’m at the South Col, now it’s 7:13 in the evening, it’s dark outside, winds have mellowed out a little bit, it’s still blowing a little out there, kind of scary at sunset, lot of high cloud to the west and north seemed to be moving this way, we’re hoping that mellows out a little bit before we have to start walking. Seems like everybody got down okay today, but not without some heroics. The Benegas brothers, Willie and Damian did an incredible job helping a climber from a different team, not their team, and probably saved a life getting that climber back going again and got some really sturdy help from down here. Lakpa Rita from Alpine Ascents, an amazing guy, when he heard there were people in trouble up there, , it was his rest day before his summit bid with AAI, but he loaded up his pack and went up to help Willie and Damien, so all those guys got down okay. But they really put out. Real heroes, and we take our hats off to them. We hope there is no need for anybody’s heroics tomorrow. So myself and Leif Whittaker are in are in a tent here, we just put down our dinner. Now we’re going to try to get some napping in. Our plan is to wake up at 10 p.m and we hope to be walking at midnight. Depends on the weather. We’ll see. Keep tuning in. Bye for now.
