Resting at Base Camp before Summit Push -- New Photos from Camp III

Via Satellite Phone - LISTEN IN!

Dave Hahn calling from Everest Base Camp. So nice to be back down at base camp, much more comfortable than up the mountain even though we had a good rotation up there this last acclimatization round. It was a success by most of my measures, it is nice to be down here and resting.  We are a little bit out of step with everybody else. Everybody else is moving up the mountain now.

Half of our team is already at advance base camp, and the other half, most of them, is heading up tomorrow. We'll be a few days behind them, we'll still be resting here. Kind of a cloudy, slightly snowy day today here at base camp, not too much sun. That seems to be the pattern, little bit of moisture every day, and that seems like that's what went on up high today too,  but no wind up high, and there hasn't been any wind up there for a while  and that's been great. Plans are going forward for fixing the route to the summit, few of our best Sherpas going to be involved in that, and that's going to get done in the next few days. So there should be we hope a road to the summit of Everest here established in the next few days. Sounded from what I heard like a team summitted on Lhotse today, and I believe that was a Korean team, not sure on that. So it is getting done, tis the season, everything is going forward, we're just having a good rest down here. Talk to you tomorrow.
