GreatOutdoors this is Dave Hahn calling from Camp I, 19,873 feet is the elevation of the IMG Camp I, great to be here, Nicky Messner and Sanduk and myself climbed up from base camp this morning, we left base camp about 10 minutes to five, got up here in mid morning or so, bright, strong sunshine. It was a really calm windless day, real sunny in the Western Cwm, it's pretty nice to crawl into the tents and get out of the sun... rest of the afternoon, but it's nice for up to be up here at this new altitude. There's a lot of tents up here at Camp I, about 15 from our own expedition, but probably another 100 or so I can see out the tent door around us. Good view of the Weswtern Cwm, looking over at the Lhotse Face, got a nice look at it today, otherwise we've been just enjoying ourselves kicking back, relaxing and resting, every now and then rocks fall off either the West Shoulder of Everest or off of... for seconds at a time before they smack into the snow at the bottom... But we're up here, we're doing well and tomorrow's an easy day, we're looking for a rest day, maybe just a little hiking. I'll let you know what goes on.
