Hello GreatOutdoors.com, this is Dave Hahn reporting from the International Mountain Guides Everest Expedition. We weren't going anywhere today. we're still waiting for the route to be pushed through the Icefall. Pretty pleasant day here, a number of our team were going off on hikes and checking out their gear and training on ladders and fixed ropes, doing equipment checks preparing techniques, doing the normal base camp getting ready stuff. Today is the last day our bigger group is all together. Tomorrow a number of folks will be headed off. Those who just came up for the trek will be on their way out of the Khmbu. Others will be heading for Island Peak, going for a climb of Island Peak. Some of the summit climbers are going with that group, going to Island Peak and then coming back. Others will go to Island Peak and then out. So we're going to be a diminished group here at base camp tomorrow. So it's a little bit of an eventful day here, we spent the day doing all these chores and organizing stuff and watching avalanches pour down around us up here in the big amphitheater of Everest Base Camp. And I'll let you know what goes on tomorrow. Bye for now.
