Hey this is Dave at the South Col it's just after six in the evening my time, Nepal time and the sun is still on my tent, pretty pleasant, makes it warm in side, but it's also warm outside, with no wind the sun at 26000 feet is very pleasantly intense so there's a lot of people standing outside chatting, it's kind of nice, I've never experienced the south Col like this, so pleasant and the weather so stable, it's just getting more and more beautiful as the sun gets down toward Cho Oyu and Shishapangma in the distance. It's just great up here at the col. I counted 42 tents. International Mountain Guides of course, we have a presence up here, Alpine Ascents is here and Jagged Globe and Adventure Consultants is here, it's been pretty fun, I've been going around talking to people I climbed with for years, Nice to see Michael Brown is up here, he is shooting an IMAX movie, and great talking with Dave Morton leading the AAI group, and Louis Benitiz, we've been on the Col together a number of times. Great to be up here with my fellow guides from Mount Rainier, Mike Haugen and Casey Grom, they are going up tonight, as am I, and one more from our IMG team, one of our South African climbers Mike Nixon is going for it as well We are not all going at the same time. I'll come back on with another phone call and explain the timing.
