GreatOutdoors, this is Dave Hahn and it's about 3 hours since I last called you, just after 8 in the morning here, and I'm at Camp I now. I've gone through the Icefall, the upper half of the icefall had about 3 or 4 inches of new snow, inches of new snow, maybe five. I was lucky to have a bunch of Sherpas out a head of me breaking trail, that's nice. The icefall is a scene, as always, dangerous, scary, nice to have that behind me, and as the saying goes I only have to go through it one more time and that's on the way home. So we'll see. I'm going to continue on the Camp II I'm in the Western Cwm now, I have a few more big crevasses to go over, I figure I'll be at Camp II in two hours, and the big challenge now will not to cook in the sun and the sun is baking down in the Western Cwm. But if I can just keep going with good speed I won't lose too much water on my way, that's the key. Looking up at the Lhotse face big new coat of snow on it but I can already see tracks to the South col. Been listening for the last three hours to our climbers, some of our summit climbers have already made the top and are back at the south col, some are still trying. So lots of drama today. Okay, gotta get back to work, I'll check in a little later. Bye for now.
