LISTEN:

Slow day at Everest Base Camp. I told you about two teams up on the South Col that were trying last night to push up to the summit. For reasons we don't really know about they only made it halfway, as far as . . . . to 27,500 and turned around we don't know their status whether they are trying again or had whether they had to descend, but nothing much more happened on the mountain today. A number of our team was down valley getting over coughs or colds or just resting up for the summit. Almost all of our team is back up at base camp now so everybody is taking great interest in weather reports and keep abreast of schemes to get the rest of the mountain fixed to the summit. Everybody is looking, trying to figure out the calendar, figure out when they are going to go. For me, still my first full day of rest down here so I'm not looking all that way, I'm going to take a few days rest and start looking at the weather forecast. But not feeling in . . . time yet. Bye for now.
