Hey this is Dave Hahn back down at Base Camp at 17,500 feet. Came down this. morning. Left advance base camp about 7 in the morning and got hit by a powder cloud from an avalanche coming off of Nuptse, it was pretty exciting but I knew it couldn't do anything to me, I wasn't anyplace where the debris could hit me but the powder cloud was pretty violent and traveled across the Western Cwm pretty quickly, the whole valley, so I knew I was going to be in it. But not a big deal just kind of an exciting way to start the day. Went down through the icefall without any incident, interesting to see the way it's starting to break up, then a pretty restful day down here at base camp. Tonight it is almost 10 o'clock in the evening here in Nepal and already there are two small teams up on the South Col that are trying for the summit tonight, making their way up, and we're rooting for them and hoping they will be able to fix the remaining rope to the top and break trail if necessary through the deep snow, and keeping our fingers crossed, they are not part of the IMG team but of course anybody making the top on this side right now helps us all. Good to be down here at base camp. Bye now.
