Hello GreatOutdoors.com, it's Dave Hahn reporting from the IMG Everest Expedition. Today was a big day for us, the whole team came up, everybody is up here at base camp now, all of our team that is. We had a puja this afternoon as well. The afternoon was auspicious and we had a monk come up all the way from Pangboche and the Sherpa team constructed a chorten and we raised prayer flags and our mast and devoted a pretty good part of the day to our puja celebration. The purpose of the puja is getting the blessing of the gods before tangling with the mountain, we're not going to be tangling with the mountain for a little bit. Today the ice fall doctors, as we call them, the guys who put in the route, the ladders, in the Khumbu icefall, have started up into the icefall to begin their work, but that's not going to be over in a couple of days, that's going to take a little while. It was a beautiful day, sunny, blue sky, really nice, some of the snow melted off around camp. Now this evening it's snowing lightly again a great day, a busy day, and a nice start to our expedition. Talk to you soon.
