Hello, GreatOutdoors.com, this is Dave Hahn calling from Everest Base Camp. We started out this morning at Lobuche at 16,000 feet, and the group did fine getting up to Gorak Shep where camp was built and lunch was had, and I came on up to Base Camp, just another hour and half up the road as it were and a little bit higher. And I'm comfortably in a tent here at Base Camp now, so far it's just myself and our Sherpa team here. Our Sherpa team has been working very hard building our camp, it's an odd time to be here at base camp, there aren't very many people here at all, not very many climbing members of any team, there are a few other teams that have their Sherpa teams s up here setting things up, but not very many. There were some trekkers out on the trail today, but not many climbers yet, still a little early, the icefall route builders haven't really begun their work yet. So there's a slightly different feel to Base Camp this time of year It's cold up here, it was snowing this afternoon and a little bit of new snow all over the place , nice to be here and nice to see it a little bit different than I've seen it before, it's so quiet up here right now. It's good to be back at Base Camp again. We'll talk to you tomorrow.
