LISTEN:

Hey this is Dave at Camp I on the South Side of Mount Everest. I'm alone again tonight. It's snowing, it's been snowing for most of the afternoon and evening, couple of inches. I went up to Camp II this morning, did a carry, brought some of my gear up there to Camp II, came back here, it was a sunny day in the morning. Sounds like most of the action was down low n the mountain though, apparently some climber not on our team got hit in the head, maybe with some ice, in the Khumbu Icefall and it sounded like a lot of people worked pretty hard down below to try to get him out and try to get him flown out. They weren't able to fly a helicopter, though, one started in but didn't come up to base camp so they are taking care of him in down at HRA, Himalayan Rescue (Association) . . . at the base of the mountain. So it seems like things are going okay down there. Some climbers, I think they might have been with the Swiss Team, way up on the Lhotse Face above Camp III, are starting to fix on the rock, the Yellow Band and beyond so we'll see how things go. All going well enough for me, I'll let you know what happens tomorrow.
