Dispatch 27: Summits Reported from the North Side

Hey GreatOutdoors.com, this is Dave again, up at Camp I by my lonesome. Just heard some amazing news. Just talked to Mark Tucker and Ang Jangbu at Base Camp and they said that Phurba Sherpa on Russell's team on the North Side just called down from the summit! So three Sherpas and three Tibetans just summited the north side and we're not quite into May yet. Seems like whenever I'm on the North Side, the south side summits first, and vice versa. But we're along way from the summit on the south side. I'll try to catch you up with where individuals on our team are. Lets see, Fiona and Paul with Minga and Dasoona came all the way down from Advance Base Camp to Base Camp today. Down at base camp also is Jim and Dennis and Karl, Marcus and Walter. Ang Jangbu came back from a week long puja and is back in base camp, and Mark Tucker is down there, a pretty good crowd down there. And Sofia and John and JF and Dan are up at ABC right now. All the Sherpas are down at base camp taking a rest now, they carried to Camp II. Bud Allen went home yesterday, he wasn't feeling good, something wasn't right so he flew out of Lobuche this morning to get checked out. All else is well. Talk to you soon.
