Hey this is Dave Hahn at the Everest Base Camp . . .again! We got up at four this morning and the snow had stopped, and it had only left a couple of inches, so Larry and I got up at four and did a good breakfast and set out walking about five fifteen. Because of the new snow we pretty much had the icefall to ourselves. Seemed like everybody who had planned on carrying loads today didn't do it because of the snow. But we didn't find the going bad at all, Larry and I went up to the middle of the icefall, in not bad time, still kinda doing our shakedown stuff and trying to get through some acclimatization troubles, but we had a really pleasant day. We were back in Base Camp by about 10:30 in the morning and then had a restful day here. It started snowing again by about one this afternoon and light snow all afternoon, so kind of cold in base camp and then this evening a rousing game of hearts with some of the other team members. A pretty good collection in our base camp tents, the Mexicans are down, the South Africans are down, the Singaporeans are still down. So quite a collection. Okay, I'll let you know what goes on tomorrow.
