Dispatch 12: Site for Camp I Established

Hey GreatOutdoors.com. This is Dave Hahn still at base camp, in fact I'm having dinner in bed! Spent the day lying down with my leg up. Got up this morning about 4:30 hoping to climb up with our Sherpa team up to Camp 1, but I clomped around a little bit before I decided that wasn't a good idea. My knee was all swollen up. I stumbled in camp yesterday and smacked my knee hard on a rock. I don think anything is broken, but it's going to take a few days for the swelling to go down and then I'll get walking around again. But our Sherpas did make it up, in fact they made it in two and half hours, so I wouldn't have been with them long any way. But they made it up and established our site for Camp I, so we're in business. The wind is raging up high but it's not that bad in base camp. . . (.satellite transmission breaks up).
