Hello Great Outdoors.com this is Dave Hahn calling from Mount Everest. We're still waiting here, acclimatizing, the ice fall doctors have been working, they are taking the day off, but they say it will only be a day or two and they figure the route will be open as far as Camp 1 and things can really get going. In the meantime three's been a bunch of teams coming in to base camp, a bunch of them are our friends, a lot of folks we know from other mountains, guys we work with and work along side on other mountains. Nice to see everybody, everybody has been going from camp to camp. Yesterday me and Mark Tucker and Ang Jangbu took a walk down to Gorak Shep, pretty fun, bumped into people all along the way that we knew, and even people there in Gorak Shep while we were eating lunch. Afterward I went up Kala Pattar for a view of Mount Everest and that was pretty nice even though it was starting to cloud up. It was good to see the mountain we're trying to climb, can't see it from base camp, it was great to see the big mountain. All for now, I'll be in touch.
