Hey Great Outdoors, this is Dave Hahn, I'm at Base Camp, Everest Base Camp at 17,500 feet. We got up here just in time for lunch today, another beautiful morning, we left Gorak Shep not too early, about 8:30 - 9 o'clock, leisurely walk up, the trail was pretty busy with yaks coming down from base camp a lot of yaks have been going to base camp ferrying loads for expeditions, so must have been 60 or 70 of them coming down today, not too much of a problem. Good trail conditions, we came on into base camp, the IMG camp was already pretty well established, very nice for us just to just move right in, get to meet the other team members and catch up with Mark Tucker, the team leader, and Ang Jangbu the co leader, great to see my friends again. This afternoon it snowed pretty good, snowed a couple of inches, was still snowing as it got dark but now this evening it's are stars again, and we're looking forward to a nice calm night and a good first day in base camp tomorrow. I'll let you know what goes on. Sounds like the route through the icefall is pretty much finished, all the way to camp one, but we'll see how it goes. Bye for now.
